Dr. Lane provides an introduction to Comprehensive, Integrated, Three-tiered (CI3T) Model of Prevention that blend RTI and PBIS models, with an emphasis on the importance of systematic screenings. Several free-access and commercially available behavioral screening tools will be presented and participants will be provided examples of how to use these data to (a) monitor overall levels of risk in a school over time, (b) support teachers in using low-intensity supports, and (b) connect students to Tier 2 and 3 supports in a systematic fashion to ensure all students’ needs are considered and addressed.
November 5–7, 2014The SWIS application is used to collect and report behavior data with precision so school teams can make informed decisions building-wide. A school/district must have a SWIS facilitator in order to get started with SWIS and train teams on how to collect and use data for decision making.

ISIS-SWIS is the only application designed for Tier III interventions which involve intensive support of an individual student.
