KOI Education is Winner of Prestigious Sun Devil 100 Award

April 29, 2024, Tempe, AZ – Dr. Angel Jannasch-Pennel, Dr. Yadira Flores, and Dr. Daniel Gulchak, co-founders of KOI Education, were named to the prestigious Sun Devil 100 Class of 2024, which is sponsored by the Arizona State University Alumni Association. This is the sixth consecutive year that KOI Education has received this distinction and they were honored on April 26 at the awards celebration at the Student Pavilion on ASU’s Tempe campus. Sharing in the celebration were KOI Education’s sales team and office administration staff.

Sun Devil 100

The Sun Devil 100 celebrates the achievements of degreed ASU alumni who own or lead businesses across the globe. The award recognizes leaders of organizations that demonstrate innovation, growth and entrepreneurial spirit. Companies must also operate with high standards emphasizing inclusion, impact on public good and responsibility to the community. Spanning industries and locations, ASU has an impressive history of entrepreneurship and leadership from its students and alumni, and the Sun Devil 100 awards program is a celebration in their honor of these innovative leaders.

KOI Education was founded in 2011 on the deeply held belief in the need to share evidence-based Knowledge in education, to achieve measurable Outcomes in schools, and to make a real and lasting Impact on the lives of educators, students and their families. The values of Knowledge, Outcomes, Impact became the acronym for KOI Education and the guiding principles of this organization. 

To be considered for the Sun Devil 100, companies must be ASU alumni-owned or -led, have been in business for at least three years, have revenues of $250,000-plus for the past three years and operate in a manner consistent with the ASU Charter. According to ASU, “Collectively, the 134 organizations comprising this year's [Sun Devil 100] cohort reported a staggering revenue of $17.42 billion for the 2022 fiscal year, employing over 166,000 full-time professionals across 16 states. Reflecting the interdisciplinary ethos of Arizona State University, the class boasts representatives from 14 colleges and holds a cumulative total of 210 ASU degrees.”
