What to Expect:
Begin the day with a research reflection discussion with PBIS experts and fellow classmates
Learn to deliver course curriculum by watching expert trainers model delivery of curriculum slide decks and explain activities that are essential to help school implement with fidelity. Hands-on learning.
Practice presenting the content using the supplied PBIS curriculum to demonstrate content mastery.

Plan 6-8 hrs of pre-course reading and full day professional development activities.
All times are Arizona/Mountain Standard Time.
Day 1 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM - Instructor led training and participant activities.
Day 2 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM - Instructor led training and participant presentations.
Day 3 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM - Instructor led training and participant activities.
Day 4 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM - Instructor led training and participant activities.
Day 5 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM - Instructor led training, participant presentations, and graduation ceremony.
Learning Objectives:
Understand the research and framework behind successful PBIS practices
Learn to teach the 12 critical systems, data and practices required for Tier 1
Discuss coaching responsibilities, the coaching continuum, and explore online tools to support your school and district PBIS teams
Examine the seven critical skills of effective presenters in order to establish credibility and sustain rapport in your role as a trainer, leader & coach (TLC)
Prerequisites:
Experience implementing PBIS as part of a school team for 1+ years
Knowledge and background in PBIS, behavior analysis & interventions, school psychology or special education
Training and coaching skills and disposition
2+ people per district (recommended)
Participants and District Representative must sign a license agreement allowing exclusive use of curriculum, slides, activities, trainer manual and other resources before beginning course.
