CEC 2013 Conference, San Antonio, Texas
Come and join KOI Education as we present at the CEC Convention and Expo! According to the international Council for Exceptional Children, this conference is
the largest professional development event dedicated to special and gifted education. Here, educators from around the world will discuss the most pressing issues in special and gifted education and share information in areas such as common core state standards; administration and supervision; autism spectrum disorders; emotional and behavior disorders and supports; instructional strategies for math, reading, and science; policy; technology; and response to intervention.
A Focus on PBIS/RTI and Social Media
Our presentation is titled Measuring How School’s Use Social Media and the Web to Sustain PBIS/RTI and will be Friday, April 5th at 1:00 PM in Bridge Hall.
Abstract: Social media (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Polldaddy, Pinterest) are widely used in society, but what about in school? Our schools use the web to dynamically communicate about PBIS much like they previously used static bulletin boards. Come and learn tools, techniques, and links to enhance learning and connectedness.

Remember this tune ? This is how we feel because we’re ready for BET-C!
Overture, curtains, lights,
This is it, the night of nights
No more rehearsing and nursing a part
We know every part by heart
Overture, curtains, lights
This is it, you’ll hit the heights
And oh what heights we’ll hit
On with the show this is it
Tonight what heights we’ll hit
On with the show this is it (see video)

It only takes 3-Seconds – watch the video below for proof!
According to the Beatles, “The love you get is equal to the love you give”, which in our case we can show the more we reinforce appropriate student behavior, the more we can expect!

This video is part of the KOI PBIS curriculum model by Koi Education.
By using a 3-Step / 3-Second reinforcement approach, everyone has time to acknowledge students or colleagues for meeting your social and behavior expectations. KOI Education also teaches a 4-Part Reinforcement System for your school as part of our KOI PBIS Training Academy.
